Day 1: Kathmandu (1355m) to Sotikhola (Tsuptapsa) (730m)
On the first day, you will depart from Kathmandu, embarking on a scenic 6 to 7-hour drive to Sotikhola. As you travel, you will be captivated by the beautiful landscapes of hilly regions and lush Nepali paddy fields. The route takes you through several vibrant villages and towns, including Dhading Town, Salentaar, and Arughat Bazaar. You’ll catch glimpses of the majestic Budhi Gandaki River flowing alongside the road after passing Salentaar. Upon arrival in Sotikhola, you will settle into your accommodations for the night, resting up for the adventures ahead.
Day 2: Sotikhola to Gongong Village (1000m)
On the second day, you will begin your journey by hiking for approximately 3 hours from Sotikhola to Gongong Village. This leg of the trek offers stunning views of beautiful agricultural fields and charming local trekking trails that wind through the picturesque Nepali hills. You will be welcomed at a cozy homestay owned by your friend, Sushi Baram, and his wife, who will treat you to delicious organic food, including traditional rice dishes. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to explore the village further, including a visit to the longest and highest bridge in the Gorkha district and the nearby Thumi village or Swara Gaun, where you can also visit a local school.
Day 3: Gongong Village to Yaruphant (Topsa) (1170m)
The following day, you will hike for about 1 hour to reach Yaruphant, followed by a short drive and an additional 4 hours of hiking. This day is characterized by stunning views of high rocky mountains and the Budhi Gandaki River. You will enjoy the best accommodations of the entire trek, with a super balcony view that allows you to take in the magnificent landscape. The food served by your host will be delightful, and you will spend the night in a charming cottage nestled above the hills.
Day 4: Yaruphant to Chisopani (1600m)
On the fourth day, you will embark on a 4 to 5-hour hike to Chisopani. This day marks your entry into the Manaslu Conservation Area, where you will traverse through classic Gurung villages and be treated to breathtaking views of the Shringi Himal. Day 5: Chisopani to Chumling (2386m)

Day 7: Chumchet to Choekangparo (3045m)

Day 8: Acclimatization Day in Choekangparo

You will enjoy a second night at the wonderful Bio-hotel Khamasangbo, where you will immerse yourself in the local culture, enjoying traditional Tsum Valley food. The hike to the monastery above the village allows you to witness the majestic Himalayan griffon vultures soaring overhead, as well as the beautiful Danphe (Himalayan Monal) gliding through the sky.
Day 9: Choekangparo to Nyiloe (3361m)
On the ninth day, prepare for a 7-hour hike to Nyiloe. You will explore various villages in the upper Tsum Valley, including a visit to the Milarepa Cave, where you will learn about the legendary Tibetan yogi and poet who transformed from a life of vengeance to one of enlightenment.
