Overview

The Nepal Adventure Package is a 12-day combination tour that strings together the country's three signature adventure experiences in one itinerary: a 6-day Annapurna Base Camp trek, a day of Trishuli River rafting, and a tandem paragliding flight in Pokhara. The package suits travellers who have one to two weeks in Nepal and want to sample the headline activities rather than commit to a single specialist trek.

The trekking portion is a slightly shortened ABC route - Kande to Landruk to Chomrong to Bamboo to Himalaya to ABC and back via Bamboo, Jhinu Danda (hot springs) and Morkyu - giving you the Annapurna sanctuary in 6 days rather than the standard 10. The rafting is the 3-hour Trishuli run from Charaudi - Grade III rapids, mild enough for first-timers. The paragliding is the standard 30-minute Cloud Buster from Sarangkot. Kathmandu sightseeing on arrival and departure days rounds the itinerary out.

Highlights

  • Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) - the mountain amphitheatre
  • White-water rafting on the Trishuli River - Grade III rapids
  • Tandem paragliding from Sarangkot with Annapurna backdrop
  • Hot springs soak at Jhinu Danda after the trek descent
  • Three completely different Nepal experiences in 12 days
  • Kathmandu heritage tour included
  • All activities led by professional guides and operators
  • Combination saves money versus booking each activity separately
  • Bungee jumping optional add-on for further adventure stacking
  • Lakeside dining at Pokhara built into the itinerary

The Three Experiences

Annapurna Base Camp Trek (Days 3-9)

The shortened ABC route enters the sanctuary via Kande rather than Nayapul - one day shorter on the approach. Maximum altitude is 4,130m at base camp. Daily walking 4-6 hours. Sleeps in teahouses throughout.

Trishuli Rafting (Day 1)

The Trishuli is Nepal's most accessible rafting river - 3-hour Grade III run from Charaudi to Kurintar on the Kathmandu-Pokhara road. Lunch on the riverbank. Suitable for first-timers; family-friendly. The bus then continues to Pokhara.

Sarangkot Paragliding (Day 10)

Tandem 30-minute flight from Sarangkot launch (1,592m) over Phewa Lake. All gear, pilot and video included.

Optional Bungee Jump (Add-on)

The 160m Bhote Koshi bungee at The Last Resort outside Kathmandu - or the 70m Pokhara tower. Bookable as a same-day add-on for around US$80.

Permits

  • ACAP entry permit

Fitness

Moderate. Daily trekking 4-6 hours with porter support, plus the active rafting and paragliding days. Suitable for first-time trekkers with general fitness.

Frequently asked questions

Can I extend the trek instead of cutting it short?

Yes - we offer 14 and 16-day versions that add Poon Hill or Mardi Himal to the ABC route.

How tough is the rafting?

Grade III on the Trishuli - bouncy but not technical. Suitable for first-timers and families with kids 10+.

What if I cannot do the paragliding due to weather?

We rebook for a later day if you are still in Pokhara, or substitute with another activity (zipline, bungee, kayaking) of equal value.

Can I add bungee jumping?

Yes - either at The Last Resort (Bhote Koshi 160m) added before Pokhara, or the Pokhara Tower 70m bungee added on Day 10.

Are children welcome?

Ages 10+ can manage the trek and rafting. Paragliding is fine from age 6 with parent permission.

How fit do I need to be?

Capable of 6 hours of walking with a daypack on consecutive days. The trek is the most demanding component.

Will I get altitude sickness?

ABC sits at 4,130m. Mild AMS possible but the route's gradual climb gives reasonable acclimatisation. We carry pulse oximetry.

How does the cost compare to booking separately?

The package saves around 20-25% versus booking the trek, raft and paraglide individually with three different operators.

Can I do this as a solo traveller?

Yes - we run guaranteed-departure dates for solo guests. Speak to the office for current scheduled departures.

What about Chitwan?

We can add a 3-day Chitwan jungle safari before or after the package - a 15-day combined itinerary covers trekking, rafting, paragliding and jungle wildlife. Speak to the office.
