Hyolmo Culture
The Hyolmo are a Tibetan-Buddhist ethnic group with their own language, customs and architecture. Tarkeghyang is one of the oldest Sherpa villages in Helambu, with monasteries dating back centuries. Melamchi Gaon is famed for its sacred sites associated with Guru Padmasambhava.
Ama Yangri Peak
The Ama Yangri summit (3,771m) is a sacred site with prayer flags and a small chorten. The 360-degree panorama includes Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Jugal Himal and even Everest on clear days.
